I have a 1988 dodge d250 with 170 thousand on it. The starter went bad so i had it rebuilt put it back in and it started right up no problem. i turned it off and went to try it again and now the starter and starter relay click. i charged the battery nothing changed. so i don't really no what to do or look for now.

1st you need to test the battery to make sure it's capable of holding a charge, then check all connections and cables make sure you have good clean connections.

After that it's time to give the rebuilder a jingle.
