i have a 1998 dodge durango, can anyone tell me how to find out what color paint is used for my truck. i need to get some touch up paint.but dont know how to find a match. is it in the vin number ?i think its forest green but not sure, thanks for the help..........Dennis from milwaukee,wi

There is a sticker on the door or door jam

Just my take on this. If this is a plain color still used in much newer vehicles by Dodge you may get a real close match in a "nail polish" type container - some have like a ball point pen which will work a whopping ONCE and those are OK for a plain nick or small scratch. If you need a large area there are huge selections of sprays I see out there that are very unlikely to either match or look right depending on how much you are doing to what.

Factor paint fade and if metallic with a clearcoat I can about assure you it could look better but will not make a mark disappear.

Little touch ups do your best. Long or large scratches you may need some help all depending. I have no seriously good looking results for all but the smallest flaws. If it really matters a real auto body shop would be my own choice if extensive issues.

Just my opinion and experience with the stuff. Sold at most auto parts places or stores with an auto section/department,

(edit) Just saw the list above so it doesn't look like a plain color. AYOR for a good match air dry no matter what..........
