96 olds bravada awd
ok so now i have just fixed everything and my car was finally quiet when all of the sudden my car started making a wierd ticking noise. the noise is deff. coming from the front left tire. it does the noise in reverse neutral and drive at all speeds. it speeds up as the car speeds up. it almost sounds like i card in bicycle spokes. i have taken my tire off twice in hopes of finding the culprit but when i put the tire back on it goes away for a while and then came back. i have no idea. any help will be much appreciated. does any one think that my rear tires having less tread could cause it.

Brian; Does the noise go away when you apply the brakes? If so, look for worn or missing anti-rattle clips at the ends of the disc pads. If it is constant, check the CV joints and front wheel bearings.

Any hubcaps or center caps on the rims? Try leaving them off & see if that helps. Rotate the tires, see if the noise moves.............

well its deff. a constant noise but when i checked the cv boots they looked like they where good. do you think they could just need lubed. and yes they have hubcaps on the rim but it seems to be tight. as for rotating the tires. i havent rotated for a long time and so the front tires where really worn down. i recently did rotate them and thats when the noise started. thanks for all the help thus far.

sorry i took so long to get back. what do you mean theres a clue. o and i changed the brakes today after they have already been changed two months ago and they deff. shouldnt have worn down that quick. do you think that it could be related.

It's pretty obvious that if the problem started when you rotated the tires, then the problem is probably the tires. Rotate them back and see if the noise changes.
You probably have a wheel weight hitting the calipers or something.
